For this project, each person in the class was assigned a country to find two recipes from that country. I was assigned Argentina. The two recipes I chose were "Empanadas Saltenas" and an "Argentinian Chimichurri Cheesesteak." The empanadas are a very traditional recipe. They are usually served as an appetizer but can be served as a main entrée. The most important part of this dish is the beef filling for the empanadas. This is what makes or breaks the dish. The filling is little spicy because of the cumin and ground red pepper added to the beef. This taste the best when the outside is golden. The other recipe I chose was called an Argentinian Cheesesteak. This is similar to the "Philly Cheesesteak" we have in America. It is a sandwich with banana peppers, steak, cheese and a spicy chimichurri sauce that gives it a pop of flavor. Argentinian food is Latin and similar to Mexican food. It has a lot of spice and flavor in it.
Can Label Project
For my can label, I chose to make a "Princess- in a- Can." Making this item requires 1 cup of magical fairy dust, a stove top and a sauce pan. The idea behind this item would be that a princess doll would be the result after you cook the contents of the can with magical fairy dust. For my nutrition facts, I put happiness, cuddles, snuggles, kindness and laughter. These are all things this toy would bring to kids. This "Princess- in a- Can" would be sold at toy stores. I used the color pink because it is a color that appeals to toddler girls. This toy would be sold for around $10.00 with the fairy dust being sold separate. This would be a good toy to entertain young kids and it would bring them lots of happiness!!
