Teacher: Ms. Sheehan Level: 1 Homework: For homework, we usually get a practice sheet of what was learned during class. Before every unit, we get a pre-lecture assignment with questions from the book that we have to answer. Before quizzes and tests, we get a list of practice problems from the book to do in order to prepare for the test or quiz. Tests and Quizzes: Every unit, we get 1-2 quizzes. With each quiz, we get a study guide with all of the objectives from that part of the unit on it. Quizzes are 20 multiple choice questions and a few short answer/ open response questions. Tests are 45% of your grade and consist of 30-35 multiple choice questions and around 5-6 math problems or short answer/open response problems. Our homework is what really helps us prepare for our tests and quizzes. Like our quizzes, we get a study guide and practice problems for the test also. Labs: Labs are worth 20% of our grade and are done with a partner. They range from 20 points-40 points a piece. If they are not done in class, they are assigned for homework. Class: Class usually begins with us going over homework and then we take notes from a power point or do an in class activity. We end class with a worksheet to reenforce what we learned in class that day.
